Kōtuku have had a great time learning about time and clocks. Whilst the main focus has been o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to, some children have been challenged with five minute times.
We are grateful that we've had such beautiful weather to be able to take our learning outside! Our next time focus is how long things take to do, and calendars.
This is the term for Fairy Tales! Yay!
Today we begun our discovery by trying to order fairy tales that have been chopped up! Lots of discussion, frustration, and laughter whilst sorting.
We read a newspaper article that came out last night, saying that someone had bought a Lotto ticket in Greymouth that had won a million dollars!
What if it was someone we knew? What if it's someone in our own families?
We did a lot of imagining about what we would do if we were the winners. Maybe the winner can get inspiration from our ideas...
